 See photograph of the original property which was basically too small for my clients but was purchased because of its potential for extending. The project entailed the design and construction of a large two story side extension, study and Lounge on the ground floor with two bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms on the first floor. A new front entrance lobby was constructed and a new dormer window to the existing first floor bathroom. Since this left very little of the existing brickwork on the front elevation this was removed and a new brick skin in facing bricks was constructed being securely tied back to the existing blockwork.  The tiling to the existing house on the front elevation was removed and re-used at the rear on the extensions and this enabled the whole of the front elevation to be tiled in new tiles and with all new brickwork the whole of the front elevation appeared new. A new double garage was constructed on the other side of the building and at a later date a conservatory was added at the rear. This together with internal alterations gave when finished a very impressive detached house which the clients were extremely pleased with and which considerably increased the value of their investment
